1. Diagnostic Assessments & Psychological Evaluations
Psychological evaluations are for children and adults. They are usually self referred or referred by physicians, clinicians and other agencies to obtain knowledge about a person’s emotional status and adaptive functioning. Evaluations assist with diagnosis, treatment planning and monitoring client’s progress. Assessment tools used, depend on the presenting problems, but may incorporate a clinical interview, intelligence testing, personality assessment, and emotional and behavior scales.

2. Learning Disabilities & Learning Styles
Learning disability evaluations are for children and adults. This type of evaluation includes an intelligence scale and an achievement measure. Other tests and scales are used based on the presenting issues and academic struggles. Piedmont Performance Evauations is knowledgable about state guidelines and school eligibility requirements to qualify for accommodations in an academic setting.

Even if learning struggles are not indicated, Piedmont Performance Evaluations can provide recommendations about how one learns best. That way, learning is optimized, and progress can be monitored throughout a student’s educational career.
3. ADHD, Autism and other Developmental Delays
These diagnoses are made based on criteria in the diagnostic manual that is used by doctors and clinicians. The assessment of these are based on a thorough interview, observation, intelligence and academic testing as well as other standardized scales. Other diagnoses are ruled out, as there may be overlapping symptoms.
4. Career Planning, Career Performance and Team Building
Piedmont Performance Evaluations can provide students, as early as middle school, with career paths which are suited to their personality-to make learning more individualized and enjoyable! These evaluations include a personality assessment geared toward school performance as well as other interest inventories.

For adults, work is most productive when job competencies correspond with their natural personality traits. Personality assessment for the workplace and interest inventories can help explore possibilities for career paths, and give direction for career transitions.

For businesses, assessments can assist with selection for various workplace positions. Team building workshops can also increase effective communication, improve productivity, reduce conflict within the team, and with clients, provide improved ability to influence others and lead to an appreciation for personality diversity.

5. Early Kindergarten Evaluations
These evaluations consist of Intelligence and Achievement measures for four year olds trying to gain admission to Kindergarten early, often because they do not turn five by the "cut off date" for entry into Kindergarten
6. Art Therapy Groups
An Emotional Album.  

This time limited group will use art, in the form of photography and scrapbooking, to explore emotionality.  This is an interactive group which approach is process oriented, educational, creative and fun.  Themes include what is emotionality, awareness of imagery that evokes one's personal emotions, awareness of one's individual expression of emotion and awareness of other's emotionality.  Each client will have access to a digital camera and scrapbooking supplies.  From the group, they will take away their own album depicting their emotional journey.
